Overview

This position is for the Champaign Country Club Assistant Professional beginning in March 2027. Champaign Country Club is a premier private, family club in central Illinois. Member-owned; 18-hole facility located approximately 2 ½ hours south of Chicago, West of Indianapolis and Northeast of St. Louis. Champaign/Urbana is home to the University of Illinois and the Fighting Illini, with a student population of over 38,000 undergraduates and more than 20,000 professional and graduate students. The population of Champaign/Urbana is approximately 140,000.

Experience Required

• PGA Level I, II, or III
• College degree preferred

Essential Responsibilities

• Highest priority member services
• Do it now attitude and strong work ethic
• Clean, organized and team oriented
• Electronic communications with membership
• Intent to pursue career in golf industry
• Daily communication with all departments
• Play management of "walk-up" starting times
• Merchandising for Professional owned concession
• Familiar with handicapping and tournament software
• Checks and balances for range, bag storage, golf car usage
• Assist and conduct club fitting with Foresight
• Player development - Junior, group, and private instruction
• Tournament operations for all golf events
• Club repair, re-gripping, re-shafting, loft & lie equipment
• Review and update policy and procedure manual
• Assist outside operations as needed
